Bargain Flowers

In June of 2002 Chris (The Flowerwoman behind The Flowerman) had the bright idea of putting all cut flowers and arrangements on sale for 1/2 off on Saturdays. We get our fresh flowers every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so Saturdays are the last day to sell out on that weeks flowers before we start over again. (We are closed on Sundays) It seemed like a good way to end the week, and a great way to extend an opportunity for our customers to enjoy flowers at a bargain price.

At first it took some persuading to assure our customers that:

1. Yes, we meant it, 50% off!

2. There was nothing "wrong" with the flowers, they were not "seconds, dead or left over".

3. The flowers and arrangements are in fact fresh and beautiful.

Now it's 2009 and we have hundreds of loyal "Saturday" customers. Folks we look forward to seeing every weekend as they seek the perfect color and type of flowers for their vase at home, decorations for a party, or as a gift for a friend. We hold nothing back, every color and type of flowers are 50% off, as well as all of our arrangements that we have made up in our floral cooler.
We cannot discount deliveries, so the bargain is on carry- out items only.

Our little idea has grown up to be a big deal, and customers have thanked us many times over for providing great flowers at a great price. They say this is the most enjoyable errand they ever run. We enjoy it too, it gives us a chance to get to know so many people and share their weekend. Our special favorite visitor is Susie the dachshund. Susie gets a dog biscuit, Loyal (her person) gets carnations, and we get to enjoy her speical over-the-top-tail-wagging-enthusiastic personality. We are very dog friendly, and invite anyone who has a four legged friend to bring them along, they'll get one of Susie's biscuits too!

So...if it's Saturday, stop by and see us. You'll probably run into a friend or neighbor while you are here, and for sure you'll find a deal you cannot resist.
